Old Emails keep on coming back

dear all,

we have got an ms exchange running on 2k small business server (mainly for the public folder sharing). our accounts are configured in outlook (locally) and not on the server. for some odd reason we keep on getting (mainly spam messages) over and over again even 3 weeks later. it's very time consuming to delete these messages.

any ideas?
