The HDD on my exchange server is nearing capacity. Periodically, when it reaches the minimum available free space on the server, the IMC will stop. I must then stop the services on the server, clean up the log files, etc. to obtain more free space, and then restart the services. This has worked fine without any problems.
Today, however, my assistant performed the cleanup described above. When he did so, he forgot to stop the services before deleting the logs. No harm was done, however I received many complaints from my users that old emails were being resent to their original recipients. These emails (as much as a month old) were successfully sent originally but were being resent today.
I am wondering if this happened because of what my assistant did not do (stop the IMC before deleting logs) or if I have some sort of virus or something else. I am currently scanning my Exchange server and all emails for viruses, but don't suspect that is the problem.
Any ideas?
Thank you
