I work at a school and have been given the task of recovering records off of DC600 data tapes.
After finding a drive, SCSI card and a fresh install of Suse 12.1 - I can read the tape. ( 100 more to go )

The top of a printout that was with the tape says :
RM/COS version 2.7.04 Wednesday, January 4, 1989 13:22:32
Source name : WIN.PFILES
Options : PREMOUNT

The header of the file it starts with UD.

Does anyone recognize anything that can help me find the software to recover the data?

I used dd_rescue to copy the tape to disk. It had about 9 errors as it went but perhaps something can still be gained.

Thanks in advance
