I have a customer that wants to install an old 8x24 DR5 from storage. When I hook it up it works fine but will not detect the 0x16 attached to it. It has the 2 port copper expansion module and a 12x0 line module. I've tried reversing the ports on the expansion module. Tried swapping the expansion DS30 cables, I have even tried a different 0x16 module. Will the non DS software accept a 0x16?

Yes, It just means Disconnect Supervision. It sounds like a bad 2-port Expansion Module.

Do you have at least 1 digital set connected to the 0X16?

First the obvious, clean line power to the 0x16 and 12x0 ?
On the expansion card, 2 port, top is for trunks bottom is for stations. With all connected, power cycle the ksu ?

Then go into programming and maintenance and then check module status and see if the expansion units/modules can be seen. Modules 1 and 2 are internal to the ksu, module 4 is the top ds30 on the 2 port card and module 3 is the bottom ds30 jack.

After checking status, go in one more level in programming and make sure each module present is active (it may have been previously disabled and if the system was not fully defaulted, may still be hung in disabled mode).

If you have the 824 manual, this is detailed on pages 171 to 175 of the installer guide.

Have to with marv01 on this as the first step, no phone no 0x16
