Our environment uses Windows XP and Office2003 with Outlook2003. I have one user who is experiencing or perhaps causing a strange issue that I can't quite figure out: When he creates a message and specifies the font as arial and sends the message, it all loks like you'd expect it to on his machine, but when the recipients (the rest of us) see it, it looks like it is in Times New Roman.

I've done a "view source" from the composition form/window in outlook on a couple of machines and there is always a <font face=arial size=2> except on his, where it is just <font size=2> (not face specified, so by html standards, it defaults in our html renderers to be Times New Roman.

Anyone have any ideas a) how this got this way (we just started using html formatted email fora business reason), and b) how to correct the situation?

Thanks!

The default editor is set to HTML.

The full story is that our marketing department decided that it would be a good idea to have a mandatory signature that had everyone's name and title and contact info in it. It also needed to have a logo in it, and HTML worked that best for that. I wrote a vbscript to build the static html file by accessing AD, and then setting the appropriate registry enties to use that newly created signature and use HTML as the default editor.
