OL2000 and IMAP information service

Hi,

When using Corporate or Workgroup setting with Outlook 2000, is there any other way to get it access IMAP servers except for Syntegra's IMAP MAPI Service Provider available at ? A free alternative would be preferable. Why M$ doesn't provice one?

Also, any idea what would cause Outlook to crash at start when I add IMAP (Syntegra here) folders to "Outlook Today"?
