We are seeing a weird issue in our enterprise.
Random users are reporting that out of the blue emails sent as HTML are actually being sent as RTF instead.
Everything on the front end indicates the message will be sent in HTML email format, however our pop/smtp email server starts choking on the messages indicating that it cant scan RTF attachments. We switch that user to plain text and all is well. (the person on the next cube can still send in HTML without a problem)
Now on top of that we have a weird one. One of our users sending to a lotus notes based customer is reporting that the body of his messages are being displayed as a bunch of boxes in the 'notes users inbox. Each character of his message body is a box instead of the appropriate character, like notes doesnt have a font loaded. Once again his email format is HTML but I suspect its sending in RTF and Lotus doesnt like that.
Any ideas on what would cause this behavior?
