We have recently purchased a OKI C5250n printer to replace an old Tally printer we were using.
I have set it up as a network printer (with no problems) on one of our Windows 2000 servers to allow anyone on our Domain to use.
90% of the time we have no problems and can print whatever we like (A4 photographs etc)
however the other 10% of the time we get the error message "could not connect shared printer to port" - this only happens if we are trying to print colour photographs - it will continue to print (in colour) from word, outlook, excel etc.
does anyone have any ideas?
