Since no one would answer the "simple bitmap question"...

Hey out there;

I use many bitmaps in my work. Often, I'll have a bitmap that needs to have nothing done to it - say a background - and will be used only once on a movie. So i tend to leave it as a bitmap and not create a symbol out of it. Is that wise? Should all bitmaps, used on the stage, be changed into some sort of symbol?
And if so why?

Thanks there

using your bitmap as symbols will not effect on your movie size or loading time much.And for your matter yo dont need to convert your bitmaps to symbols for single use.But if you use your bitmap in a Tween..it will be changed automaticly to Symbols.You have use your bitmaps as a Decor.

Thanks much, problemboy, for taking the time to help.
