The maintenance tray on my 850 needs to be replaced. I have a non-functional 860 in the office, and I was in a pinch to make some prints with the 850, so I thought I'd try the 860's tray with the 850.
Before putting the 860 tray in, I pulled the roller (or whatever that part is called) out of the 850's tray and put it into the 860's tray. The tray fit fine and the printer appeared to work perfectly. So I assumed the trays were the same.
HOWEVER, I just tried putting the 850 tray inside the 860 and it won't slide in all the way, so there seems to be a difference in the trays.
So to make a long story short, my quesetion is this - Am I doing any damage to my 850 by using the 860 tray in the 850?
