As you have a BCM 3.7 system, try connecting via the serial port at 9600. It's easier and can save you time and hassle.

6. Open Hyper terminal session on your PC
• IN CONNECTION DESCRIPTION NAME IT BCM AND PICK AN ICON
• IN PHONE NUMBER CHECK CONNECT USING IS DIRECT TO COM 1
• IN COM 1 PROPERTIES CHECK PORT SETTINGS
• BITS PER SECOND 9600
• DATA BITS 8
• PARITY NONE
• STOP BITS 1
• FLOW CONTROL HARDWARE

one of the wizards on the main screen has network update in it can't remember witch one. It's easy though but it will cause a reboot to take the change of IP.
