Oh no, any hope to upgrade a cube from 5.2 to 6.5?

I cannot believe someone in our company never mentioned an important cube left on an old machine which was left out of our last 3-4 upgrades. Grrrrr :)

On the existing machine I saved the model as MDL and on another machine tried to open the MDL with Transformer 6.5. I get an error message:

"(TR1102)Transformer detected a model error at line 6639 in file D:\CognosCubes\bva_old.mdl. (TR1502) A data source was expected but not found. Either you have referred to a data source by an object name or object identifier that Transformer is unable to locate, or you hav not referenced the data source."

Could it be that I did not put the source file in the exact directory path that exists on the old machine? Is there any hope, or are you betting that I will have to recreate the model by looking at all the calcs and rollups etc of the old one??

Thanks in advance for any ideas. ((even if is is a new way to strangle an user .... heehee))

p.s.

In our upgrades we, of course went from Windows NT, to others, and now on XP.

Is Windows 2000 any more forgiven than XP, when it comes to old Transformer software?
