OH MY GOD...2007 is terribly slow 1

I got my 2007 installed on a test machine today.
On the network, our main db application is painfully slow in 2007. WHAT DID THEY DO? THEY RUINED THIS PRODUCT AND WILL SCREW UP OUR CAREERS........

YOUR THOUGHTS....
 
I don't understand why Microsoft is not making this a better more robust product...what they are actually doing is slowly killing it, because people will move on to more robust tools.
 
It worse than that the menu's if you can call them that. A lot harder to find anything.

Never give up never give in.

There are no short cuts to anything worth doing :)
 
I have found that turning off SubDataSheets by setting the SubDatasheet Name to [None] makes a noticable difference in performance.

Where would I find this -- is this a configuration setting.
 
Table design view, bring up the properties sheet (Alt+Enter) if it isn't already there.

Also turn off Track name AutoCorrect info (Access Options | Current Database)
