I Have a WIndows Advance Server installed a Backup Exec 8.6.
The backup job always give me a successfull status after the job run. It also verify the backup and successfull also.

However I notice the job log, everytime it backup the remote server it gives me this warning message.

OFO: Warning: Job submitted with 'Use Open File Option if available' or 'Use
Intelligent Image Option if available' enabled;
however, these components were not completely installed on target machine
or the Backup Exec service account does not have administrator rights.

The remote server has a remote agent and Open file installed and set all the proper rights on the account.
I am just wondering why it gives me a successfull backup status. The backup Exec runs on a Cluster setup. I even tried several times installing using silent installation.
Still this message keep on appearing.

did you ever find a solution for this ? I get same error + some extra errors that gives me a failed job.

If you found a solution I would apreciate if you could share it with me :eek:)

To my knowledge, I could be wrong, you can't use intelligent Image Option in a cluster environment.

The assumptions I am drawing on for this conclusion are this, In a cluster, Hardware SHOULD be identical, but rarely is. Therefore, IIO wants to make an answer file/configuration for the server holding the data. Since more than one do, BENT can't rationalize which server to take the sys info from.

Try turning of IIO. Do this by Going to the Job Definitions tab, Double Click the job, Click on the Adavnced tab, and Un-check the box next to "Use Intelligent Image Option if Available".

Check the job log the after the next run to see if the problem persists.

Hope that helps.

One other thing to check, as I found out, is your licenses. If you are loading Veritas on a cluster, you must have a license for each node of the cluster. So if you have a two-node cluster and are loading Veritas BE and OFO, you have to have a total of four licenses...two for BE and two for OFO.
