Hi everyone,

We got Intel PII 233 on HP server with Windows NT 4.0 with SP6a.

I got Backup Exec 8.5 with Open file Option and WindowsNT/2000 accelerator agent.

The error I'm getting is:

OFO: Insufficient system resources exist to initialize OFO.
OFO: Initialization failure on: "\\server\C$"

I'm still able to backup the files despite the errors I'm getting. What can I do to fix this problem?

Thanks!

Hi Trekkie,

I've got a similar error.,

OFO: Static file has grown to maximum size and cannot be incremented anymore.
OFO: Error during backup. Set has been aborted.

Im stumped, Have you had any luck resolving yours.

sega,

I had the Static Volume initial set too high. The setting that you'll want to change in this situation is the 'incremental amount of disk space." Start at the defaults for OFO Incremental = 10 and initial = 30. You can double these amounts any time the error or a similar
OFO error occurs.

Currently, I have the initial size at 200 and max size at 800. I have no more errors.

Try this if this helps

good luck

Hi Trekkie,

I have made the changes., and will let you know tommorow if this works., (Cheers for your help mate) If not I guess I'll just make it a little bigger.,
