We have a W2k server as the Backup/media server backing up NetWare 5.1/ SP5 servers. We are receiving the error
("OFO: initialization failure on: "server\path\volume Advanced open file used: YES. OFO: Volume is not present.)
In the Backup logs\exception tab, the log lists files multiple skipped files in the back up job.
Veritas support reports that the OFO agent is not working.. HUH really?!? Good analysis... thanks, So where do we go from here? Their reply was to load the NSS.NLM on our servers even though we do not use NSS volumes. Also suggested, to increase the handshaking value in the W2k Backup/media server's registry HKLM\sftware\veritas\bkupexec\tcp\handshake valus from 600 to 630 seconds. Still the error persists.
Another note: This only occurs on 3 of 9 servers, and not always on all volumes of those servers.
Thoughts anyone?
Thanks in advance
Tim
