ofice 2007 printing to sharp printer

I have a problem with office 2007.

I am in an office 2007 document, I choose print, then go into printing preferences, and change to color, as soon as I colick ok, the entire application dissapears in the blink of an eye.

If I change the printer defaults to color, then the app dissapears as soon as I select that particular printer.

has anyone seen this before?

printer is a Sharp mx-3500n

Sounds like the Sharp driver is incompatible with Word 2007. WHat happens if you set the Sharp to colour and as the Windows default printer and then open WOrd and try to use the printer?

That confirms that the driver is either corrupt or incompatible. Check to see if there is a new driver available at the Sharp support site and then delete and reinstall the printer.

yep, I have installed the driver from the website.

Still no luck.

But I presume Word is still OK using other printers? In which case, get support from Sharp as their driver must be incompmatible.
