Offline transactions on RES 3700

Hi everyone,

I have a client using Micros RES 3700 v5.7. They use Lane 3000 EMV pin pads and utilize OPI/OGDH. Does anyone know how I can set this up for offline transactions? SAF(store and forward) is enabled on the pin pads. But I'm having trouble understanding...communication is TCP/IP...so how would the workstation communicate with the pin pads if the internet is down?

Thanks in advance!

Just because the internet is down doesn't mean that devices that are on the same network can not communicate. If the lane 3000 is set to allow offline transactions than once the pos sends a request and the lane 3000 doesn't get an external response code because its offline it will still send a offline response code and allow for the check to be closed.

Internet vs Intranet
