Helll, Can someone please tell me why Offline Files will not die? I have disabled the feature in the Server GPO for a group of users but yet all my XP workstations still insist on going offline. I have tried all obvious routes but the damn feature will not stop offlining. The problem is that when it offlines the interruption is causing write delay errors in other network apps used.

Please tell me how to drive a steak through the heart of offline files and make then stay dead.

Thanks, BigTM.

Are you using a GPO to redirect user's favorites, my documents, etc? To redirect those, I believe Offline Files has to be enabled, and will be enabled by default with that configuration.

Yes, I am redirecting My Docs to home network folder. Must the PC go offline for that? Any way of redirecting without offlining? In any case why should the PC go offline when docs are redirected, It seems odd.

Many Thanks,
BigTM.
