offline files won't connect

I have several folders with Offline Files on my new Vista machine. I used to use XP and when I connected to the VPN, XP would automatically connect the network drives/folders. Then, synching was easy. Using Vista, I seem to have to restart the machine and then VPN before it'll connect the offline folders. And I can only do that once before it doesn't work any more. (i.e. waking from suspend)

Is there a command i can run to force an offline connection query? Or how do i fix in general?

i looked through those links and couldn't find a specific resolution. the problem only exists if i'm remote, connect the VPN and then try to access network files- it just won't reconnect.

Have you tried the VPN Forum in case it is a problem with that?

What about trying your luck with a different program such as
SyncToy v2.0

yeah, the more i look into it, it seems to be an issue with the VPN itself, not the offline files.

thanks for the link on synctoy- i didn't know about that one.
