I am thinking of buying a Mac laptop. Initially i was going to strip it and install windows but now i'm considering leaving Tiger on it.
I run a domain for my office and need to bind the laptop to the domain.
I know that the Active Directory integration is much better in Tiger but I have specific requirements around:
Folder Redirection;
Off line files
in particular I use 3 different laptops for different purposes and all the laptops share the same home folders for my account. I'm pretty sure that Tiger can now do this too.
Off-line files is a real biggie though: i need to be certain that all files in the redirected path are made locally available and resynched on reconnection in the same way that windows offline files works.
Is this possible? If not with tiger, is it anticipated for Leopard?
thanks
Justin
