I am replacing a Windows 2000 server (SERVER-01) with a Windows 2003 server currently named SERVER-01-NEW. I have recreated all the shares with the same security and used Robocopy to copy the files over with the /copyall switch so all the shares and folder security should be all set.

SERVER-01 currently contains all the folders that users have their offline folders syncing to as well as their roaming user profiles. If the share names are the same and SERVER-01-NEW is renamed to SERVER-01 will all the XP computer that us offline files from this server have a problem or will they even notice the difference?

FYI it works just replacing with the new server with the same name and share setup.
