We are running XP and I have all the users My Docs and Desktop being redirected to a shared folder via GPO. When a user logs off, the workstations starts to synchronize.

Here is my issue. On some computers, if I have previously logged onto their computers and they go to log on, then log back off...it starts to synchronize my files to their profile (their my docs and their desktop) and the synchronization fails because they are denied access to "my" files.

Any idea why Windows tries synchronizes my files when a different user logs off?
