Official Number of Groupwise Installs 2

I am looking to find out how many client installs there are Groupwise and also v. 6.5. I am seeing if I should develop for Groupwise.
I don't want to come off as salesy etc...just want to make it the "best in class" Who better to start with than people who will say it like it is.

I have about 25 different clients that use GroupWise. Some are small (5 users) and some are very very large (3000 users). Almost all of them are at GW6.5.

I know of numerous government and educational facilities that use it as well.

Thanks for the info, actually I was wondering if anyone knew of what Novell says is the number of Groupwise installs out there. FYI, I tried to visit your website and I think it might be down. Hope that helps. Also, I am writing this little attachment tool, do you know if it is ok to post asking for beta testers wanted?

Thanks for the heads up. It seems that my hosting company changed my site IP address without telling me about it. Wasn't that nice of them! Hopefully it will be back up soon.

I'm pretty sure that Novell posts a number of their "Install Base" for GroupWise.. What that would mean, specifically, is the total number of GroupWise licenses they have sold. It's total Users, not total companies - they don't get that specific. But it seems like it was up in the 10-20 Million range if I recall.

I dont' remember where I saw that number, but I do know that it's out there somewhere.

IIRC the installed base of Groupwise users is north of 22 million and it is estimated that 75% of users have upgraded to 6.5.
It is still #3 behind Exchange and Notes (1 and 2 resp)

Used by many colleges, gov't agencies, banks, & financial firms.

Don't know if this is supposed to be out or not, just googled and found it. Very helpful. Look at stats on folks who have not upgraded exchange.. ! (maybe bc they know what a nightmare it is! esp 5.5 to 2k)
