Just an FYI for people who have issues disabling the windows firewall
Below is the response from the IX Messaging SME:
The firewall is to be disabled on install due to permissions. If the Firewall is still on, it may see some IX Messaging components as threats during install, and not allow them to be installed, which in turn will cause issues if registry changes are not properly placed into the system.
This is in our documentation, if they try to install without disabling the windows firewall, and have cut over issues, they may have to start from scratch with a fresh OS and reinstall IX Messaging.
