Hi all...Thanks in advance for any help you can offer...

I am trying to set up my COO's HP OfficeJet T45 on a Dell Latitude C800 laptop running W2k Pro...The software seems to install ok, but the machine cannot communicate with the printer...When it starts up, it hangs and comes up with a "Could not load C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP Officejet T Series NT\Bin\HPOVDX05.EXE /H /PO, Software Error (timeout while trying to initialize VDI)."...

I have the latest version of the software and I have made sure the printer port is set to "Use any interup assigned to the port" and "Enable legacy Plug and Play detection"...So I'm at a loss...I found articles about the printer with W2k SP2, but I've tried everything they suggested...

The odd thing is, it used to work on the laptop...But he had me reformat it and install again...

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks again! AJ

Join the club. I made the mistake of upgrading to Win 2K and my T45 just doesn'tworkanymore. Wven using HP's new driver does not help. Either change back to 98SE or scrap T45. basically, HP just doesn't know how to make the f---ing thing work on Win 2K.
