Officejet R80xi built for US market - Worked perfectly with Win98 - Changed PC with a powerful one having WindowsXP installed - Printer connected with original HP cable to LPT1 ECP port. - Printer section installed perfectly as Officejet R80xi printer is listed in XP under HP printers to instal.
It is impossible to instal scanning section - I tried to
follow tips noted in this section concerning same HP printers type but R40 series. In new hardware to install or in install scanning device WindowsXP is not listing Officejet R80xi as a scanner. Installation procedure asks for a CD or an installation kit.
