I have been trying to repair an OfficeJet G85 which had a problem with the paper tray - it couldn't be pushed all the way in after a user had refilled it in a slightly over-enthusiastic manner.
I've managed to isolate the problem to a small black plastic arm which is part of the paper tray housing, which sits beneath the tray, and it now sits in the printer as it should do. However, having done this I also found a small metal part lying at the bottom of the paper tray housing and I'm not sure what it's supposed to be attached to. When I turn the printer on now, I get a paper jam message. The rear half of the paper tray lifts briefly for a sheet of paper to be fed, but the sheet is never actually gripped.
I can mail a photo of the part if it helps.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for any help.
Rob
