OfficeConnect Dual Speed Switch - Stops working after random amounts of time.
3Com knowledgebase reports this to be a problem with the following:
1. There is a faulty NIC connected to the switch.
2. There is a broadcast storm in the network.
3. There is an internet router connected to the switch. The internet router fills the switch's database.
Well, of course my Switch is connected to an internet router!....but that should no be a problem for a 3Com switch, it should still work. 3Com seems to think that this is ok and gives no solution.
My question:
1. Is this type of 3Com switch to simle to handle this job?
2. What kind of low-level switch can I buy that will handle this job?
Personally I think that 3Com have done a bad job when they made this product.
