Office2000 Internal error 2343 during setup

Have tried to install Office2000 on a PC with Lotus Notes installed and received the following: 'Internal error 2343 during setup.&nbsp;&nbsp;Installation ended prematurely because of an error.'<br>Has anyone encountered this before and if so what solutions/work arounds are there.<br>Any help gratefully received.

Real easy fix -<br>Rename notes.ini to notes.bak, or notes.whatever<br>Install office, and then rename the notes file.<br>All is well.<br>notes.ini is located in c:\winnt<br><br>We have tried the microsoft &quot;fix&quot; and it did not change a thing.&nbsp;&nbsp;This works 100%.<br> <p> <br><a href=mailto: anongod@hotmail.com> anongod@hotmail.com</a><br><a href= > </a><br>"Drawing on my fine command of language, I said nothing.
