Office XP SP2

I'm having problem deploying Office XP SP2.

Downloaded OXPSP2A from:

http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork/xp/journ/oxpsp2a.htm

Once I apply the patch to the MSI

I tried the following:
-deploy Office XP to a computer
-login and use office
-replace the original office directory with a copy of the patched office.
-redeployed the application to the computer
-reboot the computer

The package did come down to the computer, but did not show sp2.

My question is this: Why is it loading and not showing SP2?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
