Hi,

I'm having an issue with a user's PC running Windows XP, and Office XP. Recently, when you go into Word and go to Insert->Picture->From File... and select an image, it doesn't appear on the page. (In any view mode) If you select where it should be, you can see an outline. If I resize the outline, I can see the image. If I then continue editing the document the image disappears again.

I've also noticed that if I go to 'Print Preview', the image doesn't display there. I have ensured that the 'Picture Placeholders' view option is unchecked.

I have even resorted to uninstalling Office, re-installing it, and applying SP3. When I create a new document and insert a picture, the same problem occurs. I have also tried re-creating Normal.dot, to ensure there wasn't a problem with that. I read somewhere that sometimes a corrupt printer driver can cause problems, so I selected a different printer as default. This made no difference.

I'm not really sure what to do now. The user is very important, and I need to get this working asap. I don't really want to have to re-install the whole machine just to get it working, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Rik
