Office XP module editor behaving erratically.

I am having alot of trouble with the VBA module editor in office XP monkeying around while I am trying to write code. If I pause for two seconds to use the Intelli-Type list, the line I am trying to write lights up red and the Intelli-Type box disappears. Not only that, but the editor keeps playing about with my code while I write. For example, whenever I try to write 'As Date', the editor removes the space between As and Date as soon as I type the letter D, leaving me with AsDate which again turns to red to identify an error.

Are there any patches that I can run to stop this? It is getting rather annoying.

the problem is that you have some module or code that is taken away the focus of that screen while you are typing. Make sure that no macros are running in the background, most likely then not you ahave a timer somewhere that is taking the focus close it and it should be fine.

AHA! Nice one. I had a couple of hidden forms that wouldn't go away, but it is all sorted now.
