Office XP Lockups

I recently upgraded a number of computers (various speeds) to XP Pro and Office XP. Now a few of them are "locking" in Office products. The rest of the computer is running fine. I have uninstall and reinstalled office, still locking. Any help would be helpful.

Is the computer locking up or just office? does it happen on only certain apps ( word, excell ), or all of them? you could try a detect and repair in the help menu.

Just the office app is locking up. They run a number of different programs, and others (non office)stay running. I have tried the detect and repair before uninstalling and reinstalling.

If I end task the stuck office app, everything seems to work.
