I have Office XP installed on a Windows 2003 TS and when people start word they get a list of documents to recover.

The documents below to other people. The documents are in their local My documents and the users don't have access to this folder, yet Word pulls them up no problem.

Thanks in advance for any ideas

Please look at thread68-1342740 and see if it helps.

Well they are seeing documents in the document recovery that they don't have security to access with confidential information in them.

They clear the list, and other documents start to show up.

So it's not that they are seeing their documents that need to be recovered, they are seeing other users documents (that don't need to be recovered).

Very strange.

Yes, but you didn't answer if the abandoned files have been deleted and temp files cleared.

There are no abandoned files. Example I log in as me, and start Word (I never used Word before today) and I see 4 documents to be recovered. There are no files in the Recovery folder via the options->File Locaitons.

I am seeing documents that other users have recently edited.

If I exit Word, it asks if I want to clear the list or keep it, I clear it, then later restart word and presto a fresh list of files is there.
