Recently we have opened a new office. The PC”S where built on a separate domain from where they reside now. The pc’s are in a simple workgroup at a different location, not on the domain that they where build. I know that office XP2002 was installed from an administrative share and slipstreamed with office XPSP3 from the original Domain. While trying to complete the office updates from the Microsoft website office XP standard is looking for the STD.MSI. On the workgroup network I have performed an administrative install of office XP with slipstreaming SP3. I’m having a problem still updating office from the Microsoft web site. “The message says STD.MSI is not a valid path”. Is it possible to update office XP 2002 on a computer that was imaged on a different domain? STD.MSI is a valid file on the administrative installation of office XP on the server that is in the workgroup.
