After trying to fix a problem where Outlook 2002 was hanging every time the user logged off Windows 2000 (even though it appeared that outlook.exe had already terminated), I finally decided to uninstall Office XP and re-install. However, now every time I try to run the Office setup.exe, it crashes immediately - setup won't run at all. I tried installing Office 2000 instead but the same thing happens.
I'm guessing that some component of Office must still be stuck in there, but I can't figure out how to get rid of it. Even running the Removal Utility from the Office Resource Kit didn't help.
