Just curious to find out about Microsoft Office's License agreements.

We have an Open licence which I understand licences us to use any of the Office range 97, 2000, XP.

But say you have an Office 2000 licence or an Office XP licence can you then legally install a copy of 97. Or do you need to obtain a Office 97 licence.

Alternatively doesn anyone know where I can find this info...

Cheers

Yes you can install any previous version of Office if you own a newer one. But don't quote me as it depends who you speak to at Microsoft.

You can't do this with OSs and you should check with the licensing department of your favourite reseller for confirmation.
