Wondering if anyone knows of a legal method to create a PC image that includes Office Basic (OEM).

Customer is purchasing 40 new PCs, we've purchased a volume license for the OS so we can legally image that. Already cleared this with MS licensing as being a legal method. The issue we have is that our image has an installation of Office Basic on it. Prior to imaging we wiped the CD key from the Office installation. After imaging we then have to go into each PC and register the CD key for Office that shipped with the PC from Dell. Ideally I'd like to avoid that part.

We are not an OEM distributor.

Anyone know of any cost effective method to automate the assigning of the CD keys for office? Or does anyone know of another method to get Office Basic? The lowest version from MS Volume Licensing is about $150 more per copy. I'd appreciate anyone sharing what information they might have on this topic.

Thanks,

Mark
