Office assistant popup

I have written an excel speadsheet which does various calculations and on a click of a "open doc" button, it opens a linked letter for a mail merge. This works fine on my computer getting the desired results which is to open a the word doc and then print and close. On a users machine when they click the button,which opens the word doc a popup comes up about not being able to open the office assistant which then does not print and exits. Is there anyway to stop this from happening.
 
Could you give a bit more detail? It sounds like there is a difference between what happens on a user machine, and what happens on your machine. And, what that seems to be, is the Office Assistant. From reading your post, I infer that the Office Assistant does something on your machine - why else would it NOT do something on another machine? Do you have OA prgrammed to do something? Does the user have OA turned off? In which case, you could progamatically turn it on. Make sure you turn it off again, if the user prefers it that way.

In other words, what does OA have to do with your code?
