Office Accounting / .net issue

I am getting the message: Microsoft Office Small Business Setup Wizard has encountered a problem and needs to close when trying to install Accounting Express 2008 UK edition.
I have tried the steps in KB932000 to un-install and re-install .net framework 2.0 but it still does not work.

Not sure if relevant but...
In my add/remove programs I have .net 1.1 and .net 1.1 Hotfix installed however these I cannot uninstall as I get the message this action is only valid for installed products.
I used the windows install cleaner to remove but they still appear in the add/remove programs.

Anyone got any ideas how to resolve this?

Would suggest this is better placed in a .NET or windows forum.

You may get a response here but this forum generally deals with the basic MS Office components (Excel, Word, Outlook & Powerpoint)

Couldn't find a .net forum and accounting is part of the office "bundle" now but will post in windows and see.
