Office 97 Installation on Win2000 1

We are having a problem with the Office97 Installation on new Compaq PC's running Win2000pro. We are currently running it on WinNT machines with no problem and have installed it on other manufacturer PC's. The error message we are getting is "VBE.Dll was unable to register itself in the system registry"

Any ideas?
