Hey all, one of my users received a Word 2010 document that had an embedded Power Point presentation and he's trying to copy out the Power Point presentation. We're still running on Office 2003 so we use Microsoft's Office Compatibility Pack. Does anyone know if there's a way to pull the presentation out of the Word document using our existing software?

Thanks,

Joe B

Hi Joe,

I've just tested a suspicion of mine and it proved correct.
Do this:
[ol]
[li]Save a copy of the docx[/li]
[li]Rename its file ending to ".zip" (or add ".zip")[/li]
[li]unzip it[/li]
[li]browse to the subfolder \word\embeddings[/li]
[/ol]

Got your pptx / ppt there.
;-)
