I suddenly started getting "Sticky Notes" popping up on my junk email, but displaying even when I am not in the junk folder. The messages always relate to the same thing -- not all email in the junk folder is junk. Since I have never seen these before, are they save?

What OS are you using? Windows 7 has a small app called "Sticky Notes".

What does the note say?

Are the sticky notes yellow with a + on the left and and x on the right at the top? If so, have you tried to delete the note(s) by clicking the x and confirming that you want to delete the note?

Hope this helps.

I apologize for my question. I asked the wrong one. This pc belongs to my boss, and I misunderstood his question. Actually he put the sticky notes there to flag the real problem.
The OS is Vista Pro. The problem is:
Hundreds (there are actually hundreds) of 'blank' emails are coming into his Junk folder daily. They have a date on them but no message. How are they getting there and how can this be stopped? He is deleting them, but they keep coming in. Is his computer being compromised?
