I have always been able to click on a URL in received email which would take me to the website. Suddenly I get exception "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions on this computer."

I have done nothing except temporarly install Google Chrome then uninstalling it and re-insalling MS-Express 8. If I go to the same URL in MS-Express I have no problem.

To explain further ..... IOL is a newspaper and my favourite opening website on MS-Express 8.
I can click successfully on any news item in MS-Express for an expansion of the news item.
Whenever I open MS-Outlook [Office 2007] I automatically receive the latest news items from IOL in my InBox. But if click on the item THERE I get the excpetion mentioned above.

What has happened to MS-Outlook?
Can I remove the restriction? Don't even know how it got there.

Thanks in advance.

terrytype,

I had the same issue just a couple of weeks ago. Try going to your Control Panel, Internet Options, then go to Programs. A little more than half way down you will see "Default Web Browser". Check to see if Internet Explorer is your default, if not, make it your default then try your URL's. I use alot of Hyperlinks and this affected them the same way.

Best of luck.
