Office 2003 - virus scan - disable??

Hello,

I recently acquired Office 2003 because some of my clients are using it. I don't use Office very often anymore and wondered if anyone has experienced this. Every time I go to open a Word document from mydocs it runs a virus scan which seems to take an inordinate amount of time regardless of the size of the file. I have looked in the options and security options and can't seem to find where to disable this. Does anyone have any direction of where I should look? Thank you in advance for any help.

This i believe is a setting in your virus software not Office. You should find out which virus software you are using and ask the question in the appropriate forum for that software.
