I am attempting to install Service Pack 1 into an administrative install of Office 2003. Everything completes just fine, when you perform an install the applications are not upgraded, but the base Office product has been updated. (If you compare the version numbers to MS’s website, the MSOFFICE itself is at a SP1 level, while the applications are still at a pre-SP1 level. If you try to install SP1 on the machine it tells you that it is already installed and does not need updated. I have applied many administrative updates to Office products in the past and know how the process is supposed to work, but it is not happening here. Any suggestions?
