Office 2003, missing Email!!!

Dear all,
My boss has a problem where by when he opens a certain email after he closes it, it seems to disapear!
I have checked all his folders and its not in there.

I don thave that much knowledge with office2003 so any help would be a massive help, (i have looked to see if he has any rules, but cant find any relating to this problem....not sure how to check if its forwarding on to another mailbox or something!!)

Hi, David

Check if "Unread messages in this folder" instead of "Messages" was chosen. If so, messages are visible while unread. Upon reading they are hidden, since filter is applied.

Choose "Messages".

Option is available as a drop-down list on toolbar.

thanks for all replies, as a matter of time i had to remove all the rules set up and then it stayed, this time it was a matter of just getting the job done quickly.
