Office 2003 contacts lost from time to time

Hello.

A user in our network is using Outlook 2003 (POP3) in order to check email. The POP3 configuration means that all emails + contacts are stored locally on the PC.

The problem is that from time to time all the contacts are lost. They simply dissapear from Outlook 2003 contacts pane.

Any ideas what might be the cause of such a problem.

Where is the .pst file sitting? Local on the workstation, or on a network share?
