Office 2003 auto install ontop 2007

Hi,

i ran into a situation where a user has a 2003 excel file and when he tried to open it, office 2003 auto install even though he has office 2007 suite on the machine. Now when he tried to open any office apps, it open 2003 and not 2007. Does anybody run into this problem and can provide some info?
